This Blender add-on was created as an extention of my research of Vertex Animations. This script goes over a mesh which animation you want to bake and fetches its position, normal, and tangent (per frame per vertex). In order for the RGB values to be properly mapped onto a possibly infinite transformation range, I decided to go with "Value" nodes. Pixel-by-pixel bake takes a long time, but produces the most precise animations
This add-on allowed my team to animate boneless objects and conveniently import them into Unreal Engine
Due to the nature of Android VR development, my team and I were somewhat handicapped when it came to certain features. "Outline" is a very simple, yet powerful technique to enhance gameplay that we were not able to utilize. The process of creating tools for my team has been so rewarding that I decided to continue pushing our production limits. I soon presented a new add-on that allows any programmer or any artist to create an "Outline" mesh that can be procedurally controlled within the Unreal Engine
Firstly, exploring new and complex topics that would allow me and my team to improve our results brings meaning to my job. It's beyond simply executing tasks
Secondly, I have a passion for organization. If I see ways to better structure crucial information, I do that. This allowed me to take leading roles when met with short deadlines
And lastly, being a young person entering a professional environment felt overwhelming to me. Years later I still find it difficult to understand what would make me a more desirable professional. My way of showing care for my colleagues is sharing experiences and hopefully inspiring some to move forward
While writing READMEs, developing presentations, and posting links to forums are fun activities, they are falling behind video tutorials. Frankly, when faced with a problem, most of the time I choose to look through multiple YouTube tutorials over reading documentation. Sometimes pictures and text just don't cut it. In order to provide a more thorough explanation that can be accessed at any point I choose to upload video tutorials. No doubt, my junior colleagues enjoy this format best
